My name is Joselin Alexandra Matute Cadenas a.k.a. Alexandra Chains (she/her).
I’m a venezuelan designer/developer currently based in Dominican Republic.
Quietly confident, super curious and very passionate about design and technology.
A few years ago I started my journey in product and web design and found how fulfilling it is to create a project from scratch and understand how it works. That is why I decided to focus my energy and passion on learning what lies behind design: functionality.
I started my studies in computer science and software development, and thanks to the power of the internet, today I am certified in responsive web design, introduction to computer science and computer science with python.
I’m a dog’s mom and a cat’s fun aunt. When I’m not working and grinding, you can find me spending time with my family, playing videogames, or watching live sports with my dad.
I've been working in design since 2013 as a freelancer and in agencies.
I started my career in 2015 in Giseyanne, a venezuelan graphic design agency, as an intern all the way up to senior designer in mid 2016.
Since june 2016 I've been working for American Supply, a lightning solutions wholesale company as the head of the design department.
I've been in charge of all branding-related matters, from the identity to the packaging, web design and development.

In the meantime I've done a lot of design projects for different clients as a freelancer, the most notorious ones being Maroita Visual Management (Dominican Republic) and Canela & Coco (Argentina).
In December 2021 I was selected as a judge in the prestigious Orpetron Web Design Awards.
